The following are friends who have touched our hearts forever
and are gone but never forgotten...

Sabre A Silhouette of Snow

"Sabre"
1-6-92 to 11-3-03

Sabre was our first Pyr. She was bred for farm work, and quickly became our "kennel boss".
She ran the show, kept the peace, and didn?t put up with any crap from anyone,
man or beast. Sabre taught us more than any person ever could. She taught us how
tough Pyr bitches can be, how hard they can be to train, how loyal they can be,
and how protective they can be of their territory, family, and friends. Although
she never competed in an AKC show in her life, she was always there, lending support
to our show dogs, keeping the peace, and making sure our "rig" was protected from all
threats. We shall miss her dearly, and think of her often each and every day.

CH Villevieux's Pykes Peak
"Pyke"
12-23-92 to 7-18-03

Pyke was our first successful AKC show dog. Pyke showed primarily in the Midwest,
competing in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin. A multiple group winner,
Pyke faired well on the circuit. An original momma's boy, Pyke was fussy about who he
showed for, and always preferred to enter the ring with Mom (Susan) on the end of the
lead. Pyke was Susan's first dog to get his Championship, place in the groups and make
it into the top 40 in points in the breed. Not too bad for her first show dog! Pyke
was considered one of the last of the "older style" Pyrs with a broad head, large build
and bone, with a long back. Tipping the scale at 142 pounds in top show condition, he
was truly a massive Pyr to say the least, but had the sweetest disposition, never
challenging anything unless "pushed" into a confrontation. Pykes last hurrah was at
the 2003 GPCA Nationals where he competed in the Veterans class, placing third in
Sweeps under Mrs. Lee Towbridge and placing fourth in Veterans class under
Mr. Edd Bivin for the Specialty. Not to bad for an older style, 140 lb. 'old man'
that still flew around the ring like he was a 5 year old. We miss you Pyke!

CH Rivergroves De La Dante's Peak
"Dante'"
2-20-97 to 6-27-03

Dante` was the beginning of our association with the famed Rivergroves Great Pyrenees.
Finishing in 7 months (great for us at the time), Dante was our first Special that we
campaigned regularly. Competing in the Midwest and Florida, Dante scored many
(too numerous to count) Best of Breeds and several Group Placements. Cauya and Dante'
were shown together and even after Cauya finished, they would compete together in the
specials ring. Dante` was retired in 2002 after being diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Dante' was taken from us too soon and we miss his presence in the ring, at the shows,
and in the house. Truly a sweet boy, Cauya still looks for him and we miss him dearly.

Some enter our lives then quickly go.
Others stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts,
and we are never ever the same...
